I am trying to locate WHERE these drain flies are coming from. Some background I live in Florida so no basement and on city water. (so no well or septic tank). This is primarily in bathroom which does have an outside door. I have no plants indoors. Some time I will see a stray fly in other parts of the house but it is the bathroom I know they must be coming from as this is where they all call home. Never see any in kitchen. I have done the tape over all drains to see if I can see if they are coming from there to no avail. I have tried every drain remedy but until I locate the source I am probably spinning my wheels. So far I have only done the tape over drains a few times (never a fly caught) and will be keeping that up. I literally have hundreds of dead flies on windowsill (window does not open) and around light source. Also have a roach sticky trap behind toilet which is full of dead flies. I have not seen larvae.

Looking to forum to give me ideas to what to do next. They are driving me crazy

I use a silica gel insert in my floor drain...smell and bugs are gone. 4 bucks...I will send you a link if you can't find them. Four different sizes. I also use a wall socket mount zapper and a ultrasonic critter repeller...I live in Thailand, and it is literally a jungle out there. They found a nine year old dead in bed last week, a couple of puncture marks on her forefinger...found a three foot long cobra under the blanket. RIP.

Replace wax seal on toilet and make sure the drainpipe is fully sealed around the outside with mortar. Examine and seal holes where sink water supply and drain enter. Verify that there are no leaks under the sink.
