I am giving ELEY a try for a water hose. I had the perfect hose , a Sears Craftsman that never kinked but shot a hole in it. Seems all the hoses at Home Depot and Loews kinks and are just not worth a hoot.
Should have it sometime this week. Kinda pricey but we will see how it does.
Cheap hoses kink easier but I have found that it is as much to do with how they are coiled/stored (similar to extension cords). If you learn how to coil it with the inherent twist the tendency to kink is minimised. Kinking is actually the material in the hose (or extension cord) attempting to return to its natural condition.
The only hoses I have found that won't kink are heavy commercial grade ones that are designed to be abused by people who don't have any interest in keeping them in good shape
Nylon reinforced RUBBER hose (regardless of manufacturer) is the best. That’s what’s on the boat for wash downs. More importantly, they don’t mar the gelcoat or the EVA teak flooring.
There’s cheap crap hanging on the hose reel at home- if it were to grow legs and walk away, it’s not a great loss.

We had them on the party boats and they all got holes in them from fish fins and kinked like crazy back in 1983.
