The AC went out in my car this morning so I need to find a mechanic to get it fixed. Does anyone know a good, honest mechanic located anywhere from the Galleria area to the SW part of town?

Best mechanic I know with a great attitude, great crew and no screwing around, and honest as the day is long is Jack Chiles who owns LaRue Automotive. It may not look like much, but they can fix anything and in a totally acceptable amount of time. I stopped taking my cars and trucks to anyone but Jack.

He's on the Beltway near Main Street (Alt 90). Give him a call and tell him Ronnie and Shila sent you.

Call Roger at Auto Service Express. He's located near Bissonnet & S. Rice (Bellaire area). 713-664-5211 Auto Service Express: Car Repairs & Scheduled Maintenance: Bellaire, Texas.

If you need a ride to work or home, he will take you and pick you up while he works on the car.

It started working again on its own. I guess its just one of those things. I know it will fail again for good probably in the near future but, for now, I'll leave it alone. I know that intermittant problems are much harder to diagnose so I'll wait until it gives out to have someone look at it.

Sounds like a plan. Be careful when you take the high pressure line off the condenser. Make sure you have goggles and gloves (he says from sad experience).
