I'm relocating to Houston in a few weeks. I'm a young professional and I've been told that Midtown / Montrose are good areas for young people (and in general mostly stay inside 610).

The office I'm working at is near the intersection of Beltway 8 and I-45 and also Beltway 8 and the Hardy Toll Road (Greenspoint). Approximately how long of a commute would I have during AM rush hour from Midtown to Greenspoint and PM rush hour returning?

Google maps tells me 25 minutes -- up to 30 or 35 during traffic. Is this accurate?

Thanks in advance for the replies!

Yep - I would say that is fairly accurate - only time it wouldn't be is there were an accident or something that hosed up the normal flow.

I did that reverse commute for several years...not too bad as long as there are no accidents. Timing is pretty accurate.
