I doubt that seriously based on my personal experience. I live up on the North side of town and the people who live around me live there because they want nothing whatsoever to do with the liberal lifestyle or the liberal people found in many areas of the city limits. There are still some conservative, wealthy areas of the city but they're being overwhelmed by the year.
Think about areas like Tombal, the Woodlands, Kingwood and Sugarland... they're all outside the city limits and in my opinion much more conservative than inside the city limits. People don't mind working in the city but many don't want to live there.

Compared to what? My friends in the Northwest think I'm moderate or even conservative while many Texans would consider me extremely liberal. Houston is equally hard to categorize.

I meant that Alabama is so conversative that it's so annoying. I'm more of a liberal person because as a conservative state, Alabama has lost out on a lot of opportunities.
