Hi , Im tryin to find out if its ok to break my lease and get my deposit back to look for a new place to live. I have received a letter in the mail stating that the address that i am in will be in foreclosure in the coming of 60 - 90 days unless the owner takes action. It isnt in foreclosure yet but i just signed the lease and the owner is a real fishy guy so i dont trust him ( he was supposed to pay the mortgage with my deposit =/ ) Since i am the renter i cant find out any information on wether or not he actually paid it. i have the bank comin to my front door lookin for the owner and plenty of spam mail about forclosure since i moved in. and all the dude does is say throw it away. and when i went online to the county clerks office all i saw was stuff like realese of homeowners ass. lein , relese of bankrupty , affidant relsease withdrawl of federal tax lein? but no statement of forclosure yet? i dont know what to do?
