My family and I was talking about Houston. The word "resort" was spoken. I never thought of Houston as a resort kind of city, but since our conversation, I think so....

what do you think?

A place where people can or would or could go to vacation and relax. a place with recreation facilities where vacationers can find pleasure.

You think Houston is that kind of city?

Sure. Why not. Great theater district. Great museum. Water park. Galveston Bay easily accessible, with lots of water sports. Absolutely.

well, yeah. But just about everywhere can claim that. I think the coastal vibe adds to that with the beaches, Kemah Boardwalk, Schlitterbahn etc

that's along the line of what I was thinking. Since Houston has access to beaches and all, that to me alone, would be a personal consideration of a resort-type environment. Plus it's many amenities to boot.....

NO. but it seems like the planting of all these palm trees is done to achieve more of a resort feel (probably for those of us that live here, not in order to lure travelers).
