That's what I'm wondering. Houston evidently has all of those elements to even host such a big game.

I was being sarcastic folks. Over the past few months, we've had read that Houston doesn't have as much "swag" as the next city. Or that performers only come to Houston only once per year but they go to other cities several times per year. Yet this city gets this event twice in seven years.

I also hate the word swag. If there was any word higher than hate. That would also describe my opinion of the word even more.

Say what? It was obvious that I was being sarcastic. Just didn't put the [/sarcasm] at the end.

I see how I butchered the title of the thread. Gotta love typing on a phone.

And due to the NBA lockout, this will most likely be the next All-Star Game (2012 site moved to later date). I think Houston is starting to shed that image of being the red-headed stepchild. Two Final Fours in ten years (next one in 2016), Super Bowl in 2004 (let's get another one), MLB All-Star Game in 2005, and now another NBA All-Star Game after the last one was held in 2006.

Swag
Party atmosphere
Much to do
popularity like other cities
Entertainers particularly rappers don't think to much of it. You know because, they only visit Houston once per year and all.

Did I miss anything?
But this is good for Houston. By that time, more bars and clubs could be open because of the growth of that part of downtown.
Holy sh** batman! What would we do if gay rappers from other cities didn't come to Houston??

Party atmosphere: Just because you can't get in da club doesn't mean it ain't goin down in there.
