I will be moving to the Houston area in two weeks. I' ll be working in Seabrook and want to buy a house (160K budget). I narrowed my options to League City and Pearland. I would like to know information about commuting, property taxes, nearby ammenities for both locations. Also school info for the future as I have a 6 mo old baby. Any advise will be appreciated.

if you're working in Seabrook, why not stay in either Seabrook or League city . Both are really good areas with houses in your budget . Pearland is far away . It will take you 45 minutes or more commute each way . League City and Seabrook are both family oriented , lots of shopping, convenience services for young children and schools are good as well . Property tax is about ~2.62% .

Good idea to keep the commute time down.
