Does anyone know where to buy Boiled Custard in the grocery store? Every year I search and search and find pretty much nothing but Egg Nog - 15 flavors of Egg Nog and no Boiled Custard - please help!

I did find some by chance last year - it was after Christmas . I thought it was at HEB which was odd to think I had such a hard time finding it and it was at HEB the whole time. This year no such luck... at my HEB anyway.

interesting never heard of a boiled custard before.

have never seen it in any major grocery stores. maybe more of the specialty shops would have it. online it says it is common among the american south so probably wouldn't have it at phoencia which typically has every other holiday eat around

there are a lot of recipes online. looks pretty easy to make

I know HEB and Rice Epicurean are both pretty good about requests. If it's something you've seen at your HEB, talk to the manager and ask him to re-order or ask when it's going to come in. It's probably something they would carry closer to Christmas though. I saw it at the Bunker Hill HEB last year. The brand was "Burger"-somethingeranother. I though it a stange name that's why I remember it.
