I lived there for three years and am now back in Katy.

There is a malaysia-singapore club here: Malaysian Singaporean Association of Houston I've been to one pot luck. Good to share the food.

Food perspective, only banana leaf is decent. I usually just make my own food using primataste or whatever i can bring back. i miss SG very much.

NP...what brings you to Houston? I know of one Singaporean who is moving to Houston early next month. I could put you in touch with her.

Cool!! That would be great azinwood! We relocated here because of my husband's job (oil industry). I assume your friend is moving here because of job too?
Thanks again azinwood.

Once again, Ronnie makes me laugh.

OP: Lived in Singapore for 9 years and loved it. Nothing better than black pepper beef and chili crab at Newton Circus hawker stalls.

Used to work and live in Singapore and more recently in Thailand. Singapore was much better. In any case, never noticed much of a Singaporean community here (either than one or two so called Singaporean restaurants which don't come close to the real thing).
