Five years living in the Houston area and have never been to The Woodlans. Mother is in town from New England and thought we would drive up that way. Have heard lots of comments about how nice it is up there but not sure what to expect. Would appreciate any suggestions for places to eat/shop or things to do. TIA

It's very much like your own La Centerra place off the Grand Parkway. Same shops and all.

I don't like the Woodlands, but it is kind of nice to go to Market Square or whatever it's called and sit outside there while enjoying a coffee, wine, beer, etc. There is a little park in the middle, lots of restaurants (some good, some not so good, some over-priced), and a few other things.

if you're going to be around the mall area, BRIO Tuscan Grille is pretty good....much better than Olive Garden in my opinion.... and i'd second Market Square for some shopping outside of the mall... you could also take the waterway ferry/boat tour around the waterway.
