I am looking for a closet space furniture/drawers/shelves/organizer similar to the one below:

Where did you buy yours? So far I have checked:
IKEA - the price is good ($1000 and up), the quality - not very.
Spaceman (Custom Closet | Murphy Bed | SpaceMan Home & Office | Houston, TX) - they charge from $3500, the quality varies.

Anyone else in town? Anyone online?

I bought a house where the master bedroom had the Elfa closet system from The Container Store. I added a few mesh drawers. They weren't cheap but the system is awesome.

Ikea has a lot of that stuff to make your closets organized and what not... Also, home depot, lowes and container store have similar choices...

I am an elfa-holic. I installed elfa in every closet in the house as well as the laundry room and on an entire wall in the main room upstairs as the kids' desk area. The Container Store.

That sounds dreamy.

Thank you for suggestion. To my taste, the system looks more like a commercial storage solution. Or like a garage storage solution. I can't see it in my master bedroom's closet room.

The Elfa frame is made of a stamped metal, the shelves are metal mesh/particle board. It reminds me of IKEA, but the latter seem to look better, since they have enclosed cabinets and more storage options.

If choosing between Container Store and IKEA I would go with IKEA.

Elfa

IKEA

We are changing everything to Elfa from the Container Store. This first time, we bought the metal hanging part at the Container Store and the shelves at Home Depot thinking the shelves were the same. Big mistake. Not so.

Just wait until the 30% off sale. It happens a couple of times a year.

Our last purchase was an 8 foot wide free standing. It was very easy to install. We did not have to install anything into the wall, as it just all snapped together.

I agree, elfa is a more contemporary or industrial look than some would care for, but the see-through drawers (I prefer mesh to grid) and shelves make it so much easier to find what you need, plus the openness of the system leaves the space feeling more, well, spacious. The components are heavy and well-made, the drawers slide easily on rollers, and it is infinitely changeable with ease. I will also put in a plug for The Container Store customer service, they're hard to top.

We put GarageTek in the garage.

Good luck and have fun with it, whatever you choose.
