There is so much construction going on at almost every angle in the bay area.

Bay Brook area is going through a massive expansion. Kemah, League City, etc are all getting these "town squares". Top Golf is being built.

Does anyone know what is going else is going to be built? Are we ever going to get like a bar and nightlife scene that Sugar Land has?

The mall has a big expansion. It will be mostly outdoor shopping, I think, and it will have a small area for outdoor entertainment acts. Perry's is moving their restaurant to the expanded area.

Yes, it does. And I sit on the back porch of my house in that part of town enjoying the nice breeze (even now in the middle of summer) watching the boats in the marina.

I sometimes I have to remind myself I live in the Houston metro. I grew up in the SW part of town, and this entire Bay area (Kemah, Seabrook, League City etc) was a largely unknown entity to me. I think it's great.

If this happens, it will be big. But remember the riverwalk-esque development that was supposed to happen in League City 15 yrs ago or so...

Yeah the high property tax rate, high insurance, flood and wind insurance isn't scaring too many away is it?

I just came back from Bay Area Blvd near the mall and have unilaterally decided that this area does NOT need any more development.

Man, I hate that road and mall......
