Hi all,
I'm considering a move to either Dallas or Houston in order to be closer to family. I work as a patent prosecution legal assistant. Can anyone tell me which city has the best job market for patent prosecution assistants/paralegals?
Thanks,
Chris

When I searched on Lawjobs on the internet, there were two jobs that came up in Dallas, but none in Houston. Doing a search only as legal assistant, three came up in Houston and three came up in Dallas. You can do a similar search on careerbuilder to see what comes up. Houston is expected to double in size for growth in the next decade. We have over 2,000 gas, oil and energy companies located here. My husband and I also decided to come to Houston as opposed to Dallas back in 2008. We are very happy with our decision. We have people coming from all over the world to work here. It's a great place to live.

My guess would be Dallas since it's closer to Tyler. Only a guess though.

Thanks for the info, you guys! You mentioned that you would think Dallas would be better since it's closer to Tyler. I'm wondering, what's in Tyler?
