I paid $25 for a lovely old painting in a small Bellaire antique shop 35 years ago. While I've enjoyed it all these years, it really needed cleaning back when I bought it and I've recently been considering having that done. A friend suggested that I might want to get it appraised before doing so.

Does anyone have any recommendations on finding such an appraiser? I did an internet search for Houston Art Appraisers but didnt find much. Thanks!

I would try David Lackey Antiques. He appraises art and sells as well. He is on Westheimer, down near Shepherd I believe.

Just curious if anyone has sold artwork to David Lackey. Was checking out his website and didn't see anything about art. I have a print that is collecting dust and would like to get appraised/sell.
