Hi All,

I moved to Houston about an year ago and working remotely for most of the part for the out of state employer. On the internet job board I see so many positions open for IT project managers for Oil and Gas companies, however they all need O&G experiance. My background is about 20 Years in IT with ERP and Infrastrcuture projects and have not worked with any O&G companies.

If anyone can provide a lead on how to get into O&G (not on junior level), I will truly appreciate that.

Thanks,

Honestly, those positions are not likely to be filled from job boards.
I would advise getting on LinkedIn if you're not already, updating all your info and also getting in touch with a recruiter(s). They are best placed to sell you to prospective companies otherwise your CV may never even get looked at.

look directly on the O&G companies websites.
you will also need to work with local recruiters.

PM me your email address. I work for a O&G company and in the management area, I can at least pass it along, since I deal with desktop/support services.
