Hi , My wife and I empty nesters and are ready to leave KC area , our kids are gone and we would like to move to a warmer climate like houston. I build guitars and other stringed instruments.We were in spring tx looking at housing 3rd week in JAN.. .We were looking at two types of housing 1 as a place to live, 125-150k, an the other in 70-80k range as studio, were I could hang out with the public and build my instruments/do repairs. We are planning another possible trip to the houston area in 10 days , but want to look at areas closer in to the 610 beltway. We found the homes in the 70-80 k range in pretty rough shape. This time , we would like to take a different tack, and still look at homes in 125-150k range , but look at the possibility of renting a commercial space to do my work. Any suggestions on what areas are good commercial safe areas with reasonable rentals? I have a lot of equipment to move tools , machinery wood, and musical instruments. Suggestions? thanks.
