I'm looking to move to the Sugar Land area this summer - will be starting a job at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital. I know nothing about the Houston area and am looking for a little advice.

I'm needing to find some good rental house options that are not too far from work (hoping to keep the commute to around 30 mins or less). It will be myself, my wife, and three little boys (schools not an issue). We're looking to find a safe/quiet neighborhood and we're hoping to stay around $1000 per month budget-wise.

Any suggestions of areas to focus my search? Also, any suggestions of good websites or realtors to find rental housing in the area?

Thanks!

$1,000? A 3 bedroom in Sugarland will cost you $1700+... anywhere within a 30 min driving radius probably $1,500+ for a "safe/quiet neighborhood". I would use Har.com to search. You can even use the "map search" feature to find rental homes around the hospital.

The budget needs to go up a lot for Sugar Land area rentals.

You can check HAR.com. Sugar Land will be over $1500/month. Richmond/Rosenberg might have some options close to $1000/month.

You can rent in the Pecan Grove area of Richmond for around 1300 and up.

Missouri City will probably be a better alternative - close to Sugar Land Methodis and probably a little cheaper than Sugar Land. You can also search Richmond as well for a cheaper rental market.
