Someone please give me a class on why I am unable to watch the Rockets games without extra pay? Im trying to support the
local team here moving from Baltimore but currently on Uverse and previously Xfinity it just seems way to
much of a effort to simply watch a NBA game here. What's the deal??

I think you have to pay for some package from Root Sports. Formerly CSN, but they went bankrupt and I guess was forced to sell the rights to a different provider.

The good thing is you can buy the package for almost any carrier, where as with CSN, I think you had to have Comcast to watch the Rockets.

Oh, to answer your question, greed.

incorrect, Roots will be on your basic cable package if you have Comcast, Direc TV or AT&T U Verse.

As others have said, Root Sports now carries the games. Everyone was pissed because Comcast was the only carrier showing the Rockets/Astros for over a year because of Comcast Sports greed.

Root Sports is on Comcast 39-639, U-verse 758-1758, and 674 Direct TV.

Last night's game against OKC was only on the NBA network. CSN 's last broadcast game was Friday night. Roots starts up with tonight's game against the Grizzlies.

Just got the email from DirectV. The Root channel will be 674, so I will be able to watch the Astros and Rockets now.
