Hello everyone on the Houston forum, I have some more questions.

My family and I are interested in moving to Sugarland or possibly Friendswood, however one of my relatives suggested that 2 of us should rent an apartment in the houston area for a month or 2, to decide if we still want to make roots there.
Since we still have to pay rent on the apartment we are currently in, the one in Houston area can't cost whole lot.

My questions at the moment are...

Who are some good Real Estate agents that work in those areas?

Is it possible to find a decent 2 to 3 bedroom apartment for $1000, or preferably a lot less, and be within at most a 40 minute drive to Houston, not counting trafic? If so, if you know the apartments names, please do tell?

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

It is certainly possible to find decent 2 bedroom apt for $1000 within 40 minute drive of Houston. The difficulty will be finding one that will rent for only 1 or 2 months.

I don't know any apt names though. Good luck!

Lot's of apartments will do "corporate housing" where you can do short term rents. But they won't rent to you at a normal rate. It will be much higher rate.

Another option is weekly hotels like InTown Suites. They are $170 a week per room. Just try to stay in a good part of town.

Your rent price is fine, definitely places here that are affordable for what your budget is. But like txdemo said, the only problem is how short your lease is. I know of places that offer 3 months as their minimum lease length, not a whole lot, but they are here none the less!
