Looking at a home built in 1992 that has a few too many pine trees for my taste (and clean up desires). Assume planted in 1992, these trees are easily 24" in diameter and possibly 100' high or taller if I had to guess.

Any thoughts on cost per tree? I've heard they could go for $2000 a tree!

Thanks.

You should just call some tree services for quotes. You don't owe anyone the work if they come out and quote you, so call as many as you like. Angie's list and maybe even Yelp are good places to start. I have used Adams Tree Service several times and am happy with them.

I had a pine removed that pretty tall but less than half that diameter. I think it cost around $600. But i could easily see $2K to remove a tree the size you are talking about.

Yes poor trees. It's kind of difficult decision, but I believe I need to remove two trees from my backyard. One pine tree and one unknown tree, both medium size, not too big.
Any other recommendations on affordable tree removal contractors?

Depends on how close to the house they are.

We had one about your size struck by lightening. It was a good 20 feet from the house. It was well over 1000. Ones smaller and closer to the house were more.

Why they leave pine trees 3 feet from the foundation is beyond me.

My neighbor had a huge one removed by Champions tree service. They put a clamp around it, sawed it off and lifted it over an 8 foot brick wall onto the truck.

We use Arbor Gate.

Wow, over 1K for a tree is a pretty good profit.
My trees are about 30 ft away from the house.
But instead of spending 1K I would probably learn how to do it myself in a safe way.
