Can anyone point to any master planned communities/builders who build total contemporary homes. Not looking for custom home builders.

Homes with lot of glass and glass sliding doors etc. Our budget range is 6oo to 700k.

We are looking at sugarland, woodlands or katy.

Contemporary in Houston is generally reserved for inner loop townhomes, and higher-end custom homes. If you are willing to venture back to an older home that has received contemporary updates, then maybe, but I can't think of any inventory builder who strays in a major way from the standard traditional look of the master-planned communities.

I also prefer more contemporary homes. I remember seeing very nice homes from Ashton woods at Towne lake and Cypress Creek lakes. The outside doesn't look that nice but you can do a lot of stuff at their design studio and the upgrades are not that expensive (at least I didn't find so).

I would recommend Partners in Building - in the gated section of the Imperial development in Sugar Land.

They build in your price range, in your preferred area, and their homes have more of a modern/contemporary look. The neighborhood is kind of a mix of semi-modern, Tuscan, and traditional architecture.

In TW you can find some older contemporary homes, not many but you have some in older section 77380.

For new ones in TW you can check some of Wyndspire homes, they build new ones and remodel too. They work with you. Modern, contemporary. They have all kind of styles.

I don't know any community of only contemporary homes. It's all mix.

Some contemporary homes look neat, but having grown up in an early 1960s "contemporary", I can say that I do not want to live in a home with a flat roof in Houston. Our climate is not friendly to that, what with the rain bombs we get.
