First off Im new to this forum, Hi, im 19 and me and my gf can not find any good clubs in houston, and yes we went to downtown in main st. and we did not like any of them. can anyone recommend some good clubs?

Go sit in a parking lot downtown. When a car full of steroid boys with tight button downs, tighter designer jeans and excessively gelled, frosted-tip crew cuts parks and dumps the remainder of their wine coolers behind the car - Follow them. A lot of the nice clubs are 21 & up. You might look in the Houston Press and see if you can find any 18 & up. Isn't there one over at the Marq*E on Silber and I-10 for that age group - Drink Houston. Not sure about the ages - you'll have to call it.

It depends on what kind of club you are looking for and what type of music.
I usually go to the ones off Richmond or Westheimer, I like to dance to a lot of mixed types of music though...

If only you were gay...I could help you a lot, but you're not.
I've found that Houston is actually one of a few major cities where you have more than a few choices when you are under 21. Usually if the place is strictly a bar..or more upscale (sit and drink..instead of grind) place then you would most definitely have to be 21. Usually when I go out cover is $10 or free. Here in Boston I pay $20 for the same thing...and now all the clubs have been made 21+ anyway.
Anyways, Rich's, the Roxy (techno, pop, hip-hop) are pretty popular. Numbers (techno/trance/house) can be interesting...I personally dislike Bikini Beach (hip-hop, latin)--the whole atmosphere was disgusting.
I'm fairly certain drink Houston is 21+, especially because it's in that damned Marq*e complex with their stringent rules.

I've found that Houston is actually one of a few major cities where you have more than a few choices when you are under 21. Usually if the place is strictly a bar..or more upscale (sit and drink..instead of grind) place then you would most definitely have to be 21. Usually when I go out cover is $10 or free. Here in Boston I pay $20 for the same thing...and now all the clubs have been made 21+ anyway.
