With all the madness going on with the coronavirus, I want to go back to a basic situation that’s been affecting Houston lately. I’m talking about flooding. A few months ago, the city approved a $2 billion project to upgrade the sewage system. It will take 15 years to be fully complete, and I’m sure the water damage from a few weeks ago sped the earlier part of the process. This system won’t completely prevent flooding but it may be able to prevent the catodstrophic levels caused by Harvey and the tax day flood a few years before. It could also prevent regular thunderstorms to turn into the not severe flood we are accustomed to. As we all know, it’s long overdo. But better now than never. Do you guys trust this plan?

If executed right, this plan could work. Anything to minimize or prevent catastrophic flooding is good for the city.
