Has anyone been to or know of this newer apt complex located in Sugar Land on Voss Road? Is it in a good area? Is it a luxury complex?

Hi -
I visited there when I was looking in April. I wouldn't say it is "luxury" though it wasn't cheap -- there are several 1BR models and I think the one available at the time was cruising $900. Voss and Highway 6 is a very busy commercial corner; lots of units look out on the Highway (no mature trees at all) or the Jack in the Box or the gas station or the trash compactor...or the strip mall across the highway. I'd imagine noise on some of those highway units would be a downer. It also used to be called Alta Creek, though it's only a few years old. Views are mixed on websites; check out apartmentratings.com. FWIW, the courtesy police officers who live in my complex have said they wouldn't live there. I didn't find much "charm" to it at all, just newish construction plopped on a vacant lot. But that's very subjective. There are a lot of young people in it, and that may be an attraction or a deterrent. Check it out for yourself if you're really interested.

these Apartments are outside Sugar Land City limits, so the permitting was easy. Sugar Land city limits restrict what can be built in City Limits. I am sure many of the home owners that built homes in the area would have looked else where if there were plans to build apartments so close to residential....but that is what happens when you don't have zoning.

Thanks for the info. I honestly dont mind paying upto $1800 for a two bedroom, I just want to be in a safer and more luxury complex. Im in California so its hard for me to visit al the complexs. Wish there was a website called TheBestApartmentComplexInSugarLand.com............ lol it would make my life much easier!Currently I pay close to 3f for a small 2 bedroom so any discount in price would be great

For $1800 you can easily live like a king in the Houston metro area and find the luxury you are looking for.

Since you are at the disadvantage of not being here to look around at leisure, I'd suggest contacting an apartment locating service. A local newspaper gave high marks to one called In the Loop Properties - check out their website. Per their name, they specialize in apartments inside Houston's Loop 610, but they should know something about Sugar Land and other "outer" areas too. You can tell them your needs and they can set up several things to see if you can finagle a quick trip in for apartment reconnaissance. Good luck, I know what a stressful PITA finding a place to live can be!!!!

Why not rent a place at City Plaza in the heart of Sugar Land! you have walking access to all the best restaurants and shopping. While most of these condos are owner occupied, there are a few for rent in the $1300+range.
