I recall a while back reading recommendations for kennels that would board cats w/kind staff and vet. I didn't think we would need the service so didn't take notes! We are in League City. Please help! Thanks.

For many years we used Fat Cat Flats in the Montrose area. We've now moved to the Woodlands/Conroe area and use a local vet here. But I can't say enough about Fat Cat Flats. They are wonderful, wonderful people. We've used them for up to a month at a time while we travel. Once one of our Tonks had just started a cold when we dropped him off. It got worse, so they had a vet look at him, prescribe meds, administered the meds, and he was almost well when we picked him up. Here's their web site:

I am pretty sure that place, and %*^& I can't think of the name all of the sudden, right there on Monroe going to Hobby, between the freeway and Airport Blvd, they do cat boarding as well as dogs. Pampered Pet Inn maybe? The people I know with dogs swear by it.

I was very happy with the IAH Pet Paradise. I have never put my dogs in boarding anywhere other than a cage free ranch setting- they had a really good time at pet paradise and came home clean! I didn't even opt for the bath. I was pretty impressed and I am a snob when it comes to my dogs. The whole raw diet, minimal vaccines, hippie dogs
