Where's the rain? What's with the constant annoying wind? Dry days and eternal sunshine...It's really starting get me down!

I feel like I should go out and buy roses and bougenvillas and a sufboard.

Is it too much to ask for a good ol' Texas Thunderstorm that causes mass flooding and car damage???

It is, and I wonder what it will do to the wildflowers this year. Not good.

I laughed at the bougainvillea thing, because I have three, and even they are screaming for water. I mean, wtf is going on around here?!?!

LOL - I'm lovin' the weather but could do without the "Sta Ana" winds. I can't believe how dry my skin is!

Someone told me the other day to savor it though because within a few weeks (um, or hours?), the weather will turn and there will be rain for days followed by summer's humidity.

Bougainvillea? Where???

If it were as dry as SD usually is, you guys would be complaining more. Readings at Hobby say humidity this morning was 90% (dew on the grass) @ 60 degrees, and right now it is 48% RH @ 75 degrees. So the temps are like SD in the summer, but the humidity is twice as high, maybe triple.

I'm not complaining. This weather is great. However I've been trying to start a couple of 6 ft Southern Live Oaks for the past month but haven't gotten anywhere. The leaves are all brown one one and the other looks like a stick. But at least when I chop the stems it is still moist/green inside. Gives me some hope. My Oleanders are doing excellent though.

There is a lot of open land out here (where there are no pines) that is so yellow/brown, it could be mistaken for DFW in the summer.

Default San Diego

S.D. I lived there 5 yrs. and yes, when it did rain one could get flooding, to get the same scenaior in Housotn where land moves houses down slopes or across streets - Houston you would have to have Tropical Thunderstorms like Allison with 30+" in a 2 - 3 day timeframe. No we are going thru a drought the Texas Hill Country is really bad, and will get worse we did not get our cusotmary 3 -5" for Dec and Jan. However, the people usually moving here from Denver to Cali. usually like it dry!

Today was AMAZING. We spent the afternoon at Bay Area Park. It was one of my favorite afternoons so far since we moved back to Texas.
