There is another option which is less than 350/400. TOyota Honda or any other car.

However if you mean you are sharing the cost with your boyfriend, you can get some apartments in Gulfton or Sharpstown areas for that amount (600-800).

I find that a mid-90s model Chevy Blazer is a little roomier. Seats fold down, lay a bed right there and you're good.

Houston is a good place to live and work. Random crime is more frequent than I would like to see. Send like the highest crime areas tend to be sw Houston, nw Houston and greenspoint. Other areas it's just random and opportunistic

LOL, based on this advice the only safe place in Houston is the Southeast quadrant.

It's a generalization stemming largely on Houston barely having defined neighborhoods. Most of the city outside the west half of the inner loop and downtown is identified by a broad geographical description.

I prefer to tell people to look around an area. Do you see a rundown commercial strip with a Cricket wireless store and a payday loan joint? You're in the hood. Most likely, even there you're going to be fine if you keep your wits about you, don't go around flashing wads of cash or valuables and mind your own business.

Based on current statistics, you're more likely to be a crime victim in Lufkin or Texarkana than in Houston. Of course, this is considering the whole 600+ square mile expanse of the Houston city limits which varies from urban neighborhoods, subdivisions in Kingwood and clusters of rundown 70s-era apartments on the far southwest side.

I only named three areas - Houston has a lot more area than those three.

Soooo Wilcrest and W. Bellfort. Makes the morning commute interesting!

Also when there are multiple game rooms that re-locate up and down the street every few months. To this day I still don't know what the Spin Ball Room is...

Most of Wilcrest Drive fits the bill, south of Memorial Drive anyway.

The game rooms are a joke that wouldn't exist if the state would allow casinos. They're the "synthetic marijuana" of gambling. It's one or the other. There are casinos in Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus up here now and there are none of the shady game rooms popping up everywhere.

Just Texas being Texas.
