I was wondering if those that live in the area of Katy and Sugarland could post some pictures? Just basic things that would give you a feel of the community.

That would be great thanks!!

I don't have any of the town center areas, but these are my neighborhood in Cinco Ranch, Katy:

The elementary school behind my house.

One of the MANY flood control ditches around Katy.

Just after an army of kids boards the school bus. Parents chatting it up.

One of our many neighborhood block parties.

Our Halloween block party. The one in the Tigger suit is mine

Typical of the attractive manmade "lakes" and waterfalls all over south Katy.

Probably for more younger couples or singles, but it is right behind the Whole Foods Market in Sugarland. Wonder how much they cost too.

Well, the prices sure debunk about the "you get more value/size for a home the further you are from the loop"

Sugarland seems like a pleasant suburb but those prices (adjusting for lot sizes) confirm suburban Houston is just as costly (or more costly) vs similar suburbs of NYC or Silicon Valley (land is ironically much cheaper in many elite suburbs of NYC or SV, so houses are often on >1 acre each)

TX's lack of state income tax is biggest advantage over NYC or CA from a COL standpoint
