My family and I are either relocating to Roswell/Alpharetta area just north of Atlanta, or to Huntsville, AL. We are currently living in Charlotte, NC and will be relocating in Spring '11. Our last church in Dallas and our current church in Charlotte are both very modern day non-denominational "come as you are" type churches. The are entirely based on various "series" and relate modern day life to the bible....basically a bible study type church. They have great use of media and technology in their sermons. Both our churces have a modern comptemporary band which covers top Christian music that you would hear on today's Christian radio stations. Does this sound like anything in Huntsville that you might have some input on? We're driving down this weekend (Aug 13-15) to check out the town. Thank you!

Willowbrook sounds like it might be up your alley as well. It's called a "Baptist" church but based on what I know from people who go there it sounds like what you are describing (in spite of their website looking uncharacteristically screwy right now).

That's totally 3rd hand information though. I'm a Jew. I don't get these fancy schmancy choices in terms of where to go to practice my religion. I was once inside Willowbrook for a non-religious event and my kids were blown away that a place of worship would have a coffee house, children's library, and huge amounts of room and other amenities. Their reality of a "children's center" is a tiny windowless room with a box of legoes and a dry-erase board on the wall.

Thank you for your replies. I went to The Rock Family Worship Center and it was very close to what I was looking for. I enjoyed it.
