Just as a long shot.... I am working on a project ATV right now and I need to find some 6" schedule 40 PVC pipe. Lowe's and Home Depot want to sell it in a 10ft piece, whereas I only need about 3 ft. Anyone know of any local companies that might sell drop off pieces that I could call?

A counter thought - PVC is NOT a safe building material. It degrades in sunlight and if stressed enough will shatter with DEADLY sharp shards, as people with air cannons have discovered.

I'm building an atv audio tube to hold 2 6.5" speakers, mounted to the front rack of a 4wheeler.

We spend many weekends out on my Polaris RZR and I ran across a deal on a Suzuki Vinson 4wheeler that I couldn't pass up. I've redone it, short of needing a stereo to listen to music with while riding.

There won't be any stress on it.

OK. Thought you might have been considering using it structurally. Call a plumbing contractor and see if he has cut-offs.
