No idea. There is a Board Meeting - Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 8:30 A.M. in the Culinary Arts Reception Room at Bob Jones High School.

I will be relocating to the area and have fallen in love with Madison. I am a certified teacher in TN and may try to teach again in a couple years when my kiddos get a little older (2 and 4 now). I am staying home now. can someone give me a little info on the different schools and what each offers inside Madison City? Also, any info on Monrovia, Harvest, and the others in Madison (outside the city).

Thank you so much!!!

If you go outside of Madison to Monrovia, you will have a much better selection of homes. Buyers in this area tend to prefer Monrovia Elem, Legacy Elem, and Endeavor Elem. Harvest is a small school and has the lowest scores, but I have still had clients who have been very pleased with the schools.
I would avoid any Providence schools right now. They are bussing kids in there and have an overcrowing issue...I have 6 friends who have pulled their kids out and are going the private schools route.
If you do decide to teach in AL, you can't beat the Madison school system and they are always hiring new teachers, and prefer experienced teachers. With the new elementary opening in the fall, there will be a hiring rush soon.
