Biotech industry may be in for slump

According to a 130-page report issued this week by one of the world's largest auditing firms, the U.S. biotech industry will not fare well this year.
In its 23rd annual statement on the industry, Ernst & Young reported that the current financial crisis - marked by a lack of capital and a glut of a fear from investors over anything slightly risky - is threatening biotech's ability to fund the long and expensive process of testing new drugs. Without enough means for research and development, those biotech companies can't get new drugs on the market, meaning they can't make money.

I disagree and think the next big (epic) boom and bust cycle that makes America so great is coming out of biotech. Time will tell.

I hope there will be a boom. If the biotech industry boom, how will Huntsville handle new growth from this industry and BRAC.
