5Aug18 2pPDT/5pEDT: Tropical Depression Eleven-E (11E) formed Saturday 4-Aug, has organized enough to become Tropical Storm Ileana (with the 2pPDT/5pEDT update). Estimated winds 45mph(75km/h), moving WNW 10mph(17km/h), pressure 1003mb. Tropical Storm force winds (39mph+) extend outward up to 45miles(75km) from storm center. Storm located about 165miles(265km) SSW of Puerto Escondido Mexico.

Overall expected to move parallel to Mexico W coast, generally towards the NW. TD12E forming nearby is expected to be a larger system moving beside Ileana generally towards the NW and cause Ileana to eventually weaken/dissipate in just a few days. This interaction should be watched the next few days in case any surprises lay in wait but typically one storm eats the other...they don't play nicely together. Very possible Tropical Storm Watches/Warnings will be issued for portions of W Mexico coast in the coming days, but center of storm expected to remain offshore, rain/rough surf chances though. Tip of Baja and Socorro Island should monitor storms as well.

6Aug18 5pPDT/8pEDT - Winds 65mph(100km/h), moving NW 18mph(30km/h), pressure 998mb.

Tropical Storm Warning for Tecpan de Galeana to Cabo Corrientes Mexico.

Tropical Storm force winds extend up to 80miles(13km) from storm center.

Being pulled in by the larger Hurricane John just to its SW. These are the last days for Ileana, likely to disappear within 24-36 hours, absorbed/ripped apart by John. Rain threat and large swells along the coast remain regardless from it.
