new orleans should have never been so massivly developed on a delta. it's like building your house in a dry river bed. the water will shourly come in it's a loosing battel ! every year new orleans is sinking a little bit more below the sea level and those levys are sinking with it. just look at what hurricaine katrina did. just i hurricane chased off half the population. the last hurriacane that all most took a direct hit on new orleans was starting to top the levys. and it was only a catagory 2 on the safier simpson scale. all those areas like the 9 ward that are below sea level should be turned back to the mississippi river delta. just imagine all that destruction happening all over again. and all it would take is a catagory 3 storm to do it. so i woud say to annyone planing to buy land and rebuilding a house in the 9 ward area i hope u have sea legs. and a sea worthy vessel mored on top of your roof. good luck!.....>>>if god wanted humans to live below sea level he would not have giving us lungs

I think you have a point....Move everyone out and let it become a new artificial reef. Look at all the grouper it could house....
