I am having an issue where after the car warms up, it has absolutely no power from a stop and is overall extremely weak.

From a stop:
0-15 mph it does not go past 2k rpms. Accelerator to floor.
15-30 it strains to get up to speed rpms up to 6k
It's like everything is running in slow motion. The engine sounds like it's under a tremendous strain.

On the express way:
Barely press accelerator to speed up 5-10 mph and the engine sounds like something's preventing it from speeding up lots of noise/vibration. Need to press even harder to get it to downshift and speed up. The car's motion feels very stiff.

Took the car to dealer in March, couldn't reproduce problem. They reset adaptive values, didn't help. This past week, the problem got even worse, like described above. Turning out to be a dangerous situation. Friday, I was making a left turn at a flashing yellow and cars were coming, the accelerator was to the floor and the car refused to pick up speed.

Here's where it gets weird, today I ran over a pretty bad pothole (tried to avoid) and I then came to a stop. Guess what, I took off and the car drove almost like the day I drove it off the lot. It's like the jolt knocked something into place?? Don't know. I have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow.

Any idea what could cause this? This is my 3rd Kia. All my previous KIAs never had any issues, traded them in at over 177,000 miles each, no problems whatsoever, great vehicles.

Maybe you have a bad ground or some other electrical issue?

To prevent and/or correct this condition, the ECM should be reprogrammed using the GDS download.
