Hi All, I'm a lady Baby Boomer of 61 and can retire at the end of this year. Problem is, my retirement check will not suffice for me to just chill on. I will still need to work at least part-time. I need to move to an area where there are job prospects for retired educators. I love mountains, streams, hiking and biking trails. Small towns are nice to visit, but can be boring for those of us flying solo now. I love what I have read about Couer d'Alene. How is life for the singles crowd there?

Well, I cant speak too your age demographic, but being under 30 is not awesome. I would say though that I have seen alot of weddings in your demographic in the last couple of months. My mom has been single 16 years since my dad passed and she has loved it. She is in a couple of different groups and is always going on some day trip or trip somewhere in the US.

Hope that was semi helpful. =)

Thanks, Shaner. I appreciate your reply. I live in a small little south Georgia town...nothing here but mosquitoes and heat. I'm going to continue my search of the Couer d'Alene area. (Sorry about you dad. Mine in terminal now and Hospice is at the house almost daily). After he is gone, I won't have anyone, so time to move and get on with my life.
