Idaho, after saying goodbye to California, is now my new home
A place of such beauty and so fun to roam
I love your natural beauty and natural diversity
From the lakes, rivers, and mountains to the prairie
Even in the desert like areas still beauty I see

The Sawtooth mountains snow-capped in late spring
Have been the most beautiful place I have seen
I love the sprawling farmland and old barns
I feel like so many areas each have their own charms

I love how there is more freedom than where I am from
Not to get political but California was making me glum
Of course no where is perfect, including Idaho
Still can tell you there is no other place I would rather go

I am thankful Idaho is my new home and there is still much to explore
All the beauty and outdoor activities makes me want to get out more and more
I really appreciate how family oriented the state is
Compared to California, Idaho minds it's own biz

Idahoans seem to take more pride in doing things for themselves
A live and let live attitude serving them well
More freedoms and people who will stand up to protect them
I hope it stays that way here in the state of the gem

Whether you welcome me here or not, though I hope you do
Know that I now consider myself an Idahoan, one of you
I feel much more at home here than when I left California
I have no plans to leave I should warn ya

I don't want it change, I want to protect it
Idaho, my family loves being here and we're a good fit.
