HI Everyone,
Am considering move to Idaho along I-84 corridor. Does anyone know statistics or where I can find statistics about Ag pilots / crop dusting what area of the corridor uses them most? or really anywhere in Idaho. Appreciate the efficiency of the ag pilots just don't / can't live where they spray due to health issues. Thank you, Merry Christmas

I-84 in Idaho is about 300 miles long. You’ll have to be more specific on what area you’re looking at for anyone to answer with specificity. If you don’t want to live near spray, live near a town, they can’t air spray from there. I can’t think of anytime traveling back and forth on I-84 I saw a crop duster, mostly they use their tractors to spray with pull behinds. May want to search Idaho dept of ag for more info.

Ag pilots fly all over the state, doing different jobs for farmers, ranchers, foresters, and wilderness people. They don't spray the same chemicals, and some jobs require no spraying at all of anything.

If you want some really valid info, I tend to think contacting the FAA will be more productive than this forum. It would be a more likely place to start a search, I think, even if that was about all that was learned.

The main thing out here is ag pilots are essentially bush pilots. if they don't have enough ag work to keep them busy, they'll fly other jobs willingly.

Potato crops can be aerial sprayed for various reasons. So, it seems like the whole I-84 corridor is a candidate area. If being in town, as suggested, is far enough away from cropland for the OP, then seems like parts of the Boise to Caldwell corridor are candidates.

You might look up some crop spraying outfits and ask.
