Well the judge is letting them do just that.

Judge lets Mexico have voice in suit on Ariz. immigration law (http://azstarnet.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/article_c81d6afe-8568-11df-bf46-001cc4c002e0.html - broken link)

"PHOENIX - Mexico gets to have a say in one of the lawsuits challenging Arizona's immigration enforcement law.
A federal judge on Thursday granted Mexico's request to be allowed to file a legal brief supporting the challenge. That means the judge will consider the brief Mexico submitted previously."

That link didn't work, and the only result I can find on a google search comes from "Impeachobamacampaign.com"

At any rate, they aren't doing anything the United States doesn't do when our citizens are on trial for anything. I disagree in the Mexican government having a say in court, although this is largely symbolic, as the judge won't consider it in his ruling, and no Jury will ever hear it.

Mostly, this is diplomatic, and if there is a US citizen in Mexico needing a voice from home, they'd thank the judge for this measure.

I imagine this is a 'friend of the court' brief (amicus curiae). Very common in Federal court. It is not considered 'evidence'. The Supreme Court often allows such briefs (it is at the court's discretion, of course).

If left up to our wonderful neighbors to the South, we would become just another blip on the drug cartels screen....
