You're not saving money having illegals in this country. For example: Having illegals working on your house is NOT saving constructions costs, what happens is the general contractor uses the illegals, pays them less and pockets the money himself. He does NOT pass the savings on to you.
Exactly, the ONLY one profiting in the hire of illegals is the EMPLOYER, I don't understand why the pro illegals don't get this yet trot out out the old $5 for a head of lettuce garbage all the time.

pro illegals?
I hope you're not pointing at one political party over the other. One is just as lame assed on this matter as the other.
Food isn't cheaper now with 30 million illegals here than it was before they all arrived. Compare the cost of lettuce now with what it was in 1980 -- I've seen lettuce going for $1.50 a head - back before all the illegals showed up, it was less than $0.50 a head. Most food is more expensive, I can't think of any food prices that went down in the last 20-30 years.

No and you won't ever see it. My first recollections were of $0.10 a dozen eggs, 10 lb. of potatoes $0.12, gasoline $0.11 a gallon and kerosene $0.09. All my life things have always gone up and never down. In 1954 I purchased a new aurora red Chevy convertible and they drove it out of the showroom...price, $2,766.91. I was 19 years old and I'll never forget that.
..Pete Nunez, the former U.S. attorney for San Diego and a lifelong fighter for immigration control, told me in a recent talk: "Why are those numbers today so high? Because of the amnesty of 1986! Those 2.7 million illegals amnestied were then able, in the decade of the '90s, to sponsor their family members. That decade turned out to have the highest number of legal immigrants practically in our history, because of the amnesty."
Here at the busy port of entry, in my long conversations with officials of the Department of Homeland Security, which encompasses immigration, border patrol and customs, there is unanimous agreement with this interpretation.
"The '86 experience definitely led to family reunification," Lauren Mack, customs and border protection public affairs officer, agreed. "We watched that amnesty -- it only created more fraud and more problems."
The 1986 amnesty was not to be the first of many amnesties, nor a kind of experimental plug in the flow of human beings from a poor country to a rich one. To the contrary, it was to be the "last amnesty." Pushed by liberals in Congress like Teddy Kennedy, it was supposed to settle and legalize the illegals already in the United States, while controlling future immigration. It was to be the solution.
Instead, those 2.7 million settled in America and, under the dominating "family reunification" policy, were able immediately to sponsor almost any number of relatives, some bringing in 80 or 90 persons. And because the enforcement aspects of the law were never put into practice, the 1986 amnesty left the gate open to still more massive numbers. Meanwhile, the proposed new guest worker programs before Congress almost all provide for some kind of amnesty that will lead only to a repeat of 1986...
Listen to you pansies whine. During the early 20th century, legals and illegals were flooding in this country and it was one of the most prospereous times in our history. Nobody complained that the illegals weren't paying their taxes, because we had no income tax.
Now we have socialist public schools, socialist income tax, socialist minimum wage, etc and all you whiny liberals can't stop bitching about someone making some profits. Absolutely shameful.
Boy are you confused. It is the liberals that are advocating for illegal aliens in this country not we conservatives. The numbers of illegal aliens have increased immensely since the beginning of the 20th century and we are feeling it in our wallets, lack of jobs and wage stagnation now, that is the difference.
Ronald Reagan is the only one who ever did anything about it. In 1986 he signed a bill which was supposed to grant amnesty to a million and a half of them and before all was said and done six million had become citizens...mostly with illegal papers. Think about how many are here now because of that six million twenty years ago.
How Do You Feel About The History Of Illegal Immigration In America?
Maybe we dont go back to 1492...we have to go slightly further back than '86.
