You can't make this stuff up. Give instate tuition to illegals while cutting schoalrships for top American students. The costs of the two programs are roughly the same.

Maryland immigrant tuition bill signed into law by Gov. O’Malley - The Washington Post
Quote:
Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, bucking a trend in other states, signed off on legislation Tuesday that extends in-state tuition breaks to illegal immigrants at the state’s colleges and universities.

O’Malley’s signature sets up a showdown with opponents who have already started gathering signatures for a petition to try to repeal the law, which is slated to take effect this summer.

Cuts to Maryland scholarship program affect 350 seniors - baltimoresun.com
Quote:
The cuts will take away the annual scholarships from 350 seniors who plan to attend a Maryland college or university. Students already attending Maryland institutions and receiving the annual scholarship will not be affected. The state savings for 2012 will be about $1 million.

Graduating seniors learned of the scholarship awards, aimed at academics and fine arts, in the fall, and most had to decide where they would attend college by the end of April.

Another sign that politicians value illegals more than the Americans who elected them.

Yes, it is truly sad. However, we are not taking this lying down. Not only are Maryland residents PO’d, but also, understandably, out-of-state students who are required to pay higher rates.

Which is it:

1. These Politicians are too stupid to realize they are doing this?
2. They are doing it with a underlying agenda?

Either way do they think no one will notice or be angry about this move?

I pick number 2 and I don't think they care if we notice and become angered.

They don't care and they don't fear the voters because folks vote for party.

The illegals should be considered foreign students and pay the foreign student rate.

Truly this is just freaking disgusting! is there no shame in this. Why don't we house illegals, buy them cars, and everything else they see to be able to get, this President had a agenda allright, and it is starting to show big time, i am not happy with him at all.

The President and his band of loonies, seem to want to apease these illegals, at the cost of hurting Americans.
