Yup. Gone are the days when the military was lax on its own standards when recruiting. We do not need such a large standing military and we have been letting some of the wrong kinds of people in anyway. One of my relatives is married to an active duty Marine officer. Boy, the stories HE can tell about some of the military members he's known. Even the Marines have let their standards slip.
I believe that most of our military personnel are patriotic Americans who respect our laws, country and our soverign borders and take their oath to protect this country seriously. Some not so much. So why enlist foreigners who have come to our country illegally that have already proven they don't?
The Problem in letting the dreamers in they are Illegal from the start. They may have been drugged a crossed the boarder, or even born in this country for the sake of status. We have legal US Citizens who wish to volunteer, but can getting due to reduction of forces.
Its too problematic and these Dreamers should not have the privilege of serving. We got to set standards and further at top speed all deportation . Then we can talk to Foreign nationals who wish to be come part of the USA!

Note that the "Oath of Enlistment" refers to upholding and defending the Constitution of the United States, nothing about "protecting the country"...

Exactly; we don't need them. For anything...anywhere.
Here is the oath that our military has to take. If millions of illegal aliens aren't the enemy by invading our borders and causing harm to Americans then I don't know who is.
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Fair enough.

I fail to see where it says anything about protecting the country like IBM says.

Well, yeah, I said it enough times in a 22-year military career (there's even a picture out there on the interwebs of a bald-headed me giving that oath the last time, and 90% of the caption needed to list all of my awards)...
