You did not quote this as appropriate, thus the way it is listed, it represents your opinion.

I haven't seen Obama even bring it to a vote in senate and didn't even make it a priority when democrats controlled both houses. I think Bush bill with reaction means its too fresh in many politician memory. After all Bush brought the bill up ;and Obama has not.In fact voters now gave the Republican House the largest majority since Truman was president .From exit polls voters have pushed back social issues and moved to the economy and security as priorities..

Eliminate the redundancy and target groups that will actually meet our needs and not add to our burden.
Real reform should include eliminating American citizenship to those born to people who are not legal citizens.

Agreed. Dominican Republic's already done that. Tho I'd like to see cutting off birthright for people 17 years old down. The older anchor people, IMHO leave them alone but their parents would still need to be sent home.

Exactly, now that would actually be reforming something and in a good way. Amnesty isn't reform as it would still be illegal to come to this country without authorization. The former would discourage illegal immigration but the latter would just encourage more illegal immigration.

OP needs to get a life; it sure did hurt them this cycle. didn't hurt Obama when he ignored it two year when he had white and bot houses. But then Bush certainly didn't get much from pushing it in his last term and it failing because of voters outrage in calling and e-mailing. Hasn't gotten to floor in over 6 years now .

As do I. I am beginning to think that is a bigger draw to them than jobs. Jobs come and go. Citizenship is lasting and entitles one to all kinds of benefits and a foot in the door to their parents here illegally if not through amnesty than thru their offspring sponsoring them when they reach adult age.
