With too many students and too few classrooms, Calexico school officials took the unusual step of hiring someone to photograph children and document the offenders. Santillan snaps pictures at the city's downtown border crossing and shares the images with school principals, who use them as evidence to kick out those living in Mexico.

Actually, I found it quite telling that the photographer and the school board members who are doing this are Hispanic-Americans. The school board president (Hispanic) is quoted as saying he's fed up because the overcrowding in the schools is forcing his own child to change schools.

And; Santillan is not only Hispanic, he is (or was) an advocate of La Raza.
Almost as if the La Raza types see the writing on the wall and do not wish to be associated with the pro illegal crowd anymore.
If you're not a resident of the school district then you shouldnt be going to that school without prior approval. Whether it is a border town or completely in the middle of the state the rules are the same, you need to be a resident of the district or have received approval if you are not a resident.
Good for the schools. I don't like that I have to pay school taxes for people's children to attend who don't pay as well.
