bout 800,000 young immigrants could lose their jobs and be rounded up by police and deported to countries where their lives are at risk — and which are foreign to them — if the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program is allowed to lapse.

Mexico ain't Haiti or even Salvador, people. Too: I'm 100 percent some of those Dream Act people are Korean, Italian, Irish and so on.

This is what happens when presidents decide they want to govern by executive order. BO could have attempted to go through Congressional routes to put this into law, but did not. I am actually in favor of allowing this to lapse gradually. Allow those who are complying to stay until their DACA permits expire, then deport them.

It would be best to simply stop processing new application and renewals. As they expire, send them final deportation letters with a date to self deport. If they don't comply, arrest then swiftly with no hearing, deport...and alot of them are not children they in their 20s

I think that If the program is allowed to expire gradually, you'll see a rise in in country marriage greencard applications for overstays.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they would marry in order to try to anchor themselves. Any woman who will have 4 babies she can't afford to take care of to try to mooch off the American taxpayers would probably try to marry her way in.

I do believe it is a little more complicated than just getting married to try to anchor themselves. http://www.nolo.com/legal-encycloped...s-citizen.html

Geesh, do these people have any moral compass at all? "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.", one very good reason to get moving on ousting them per the law.

If they are here ILLEGALLY, they are NOT Immigrants. Immigration is an official, legal process. Coming here illegally is a crime. The rule of law should matter in the U.S.

Messes like this happen when our government decides not to enforce laws then a President comes in that does enforce our immigration laws and people are flipping out.
What is crazy is if the Dems win in 2020 and these illegals hold out until then there will be no doubt that amnesty will be on the table for them. Their illegal actions will be rewarded and us that obey the law will be left wondering what happened.

I blame the "Dreamer" problem on public schools that admit undocumented children. If those families were simply told "no" from the start when they tried to enroll their children, they would have gone back to their country of origin long ago or would have never come here illegally in the first place and we wouldn't have a Dreamer problem.

By definition,"DREAMers" are children who were brought here from another country by their parents. The parents committed the crime, not the children.

From The DREAM Act = acronym for Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors.
