You can't compare gang violence and domestic violence to the wholesale attempt to slaughter an entire religion (the Holocaust).
The US can't be a refuge for every person from a third world country seeking protection from crime and violence in their own countries. We simply can't. We wouldn't accept that sort of claim from a European or Canadian, nor can we accept them from people from Central America.
I say this as the granddaughter of Holocaust refugees.

I was working out at my gym last week, and the guys next to me, one from Africa and one from central America I believe, were discussing casually how they were going to stay here when there Visas ran out. They weren't discussing how bad it was in their country, just how much better It was here.

Anne Frank never boarded a boat and sought asylum anywhere.
That is technically correct, though there is documentary evidence that Otto Frank tried to get visas to the US and Cuba either for himself, his family, or both.
"The Office of Immigration Statistics reported that of the 188,382 deportations of illegal aliens in 2011, 23 percent had committed criminal traffic offenses (primarily driving under the influence). Congressman Steve King (R-IA) estimates that illegal alien drunk drivers kill 13 Americans every day — that’s a death toll of 4,745 per year.[4]"
Here are a few, and I go on for probably 3 pages of video clips and still not post them all. These illegal aliens break the law every single day, get them out!

My grand parents died in Auswitz and my grand father came here on "the Rotterdam" which is one of the ships to arrive at Ellis Island in the 20's. He and his family were denied entry due to illness and the family of eight received a stamp on their papers "deported" and within 2 weeks they went back on a boat.
During the Holocaust he died in Auswitz which wouldn't have happened if he was able to stay here when he arrived here as a child.
We don't blame the US as it was unknown to anyone what would happen years later and we blame Hitler and the Nazi's and NSB's!
We have framed the print out we got from Ellis Islands archives and my mom doesn't like it too much that we framed it but we want to remember what occurred in history, not with a sense of anger but just so we are reminded of history.
Not all of them were sick but they didn't have much money which was also noted as a reason for the government to feel they could become a liability. Later most of the kids turned out to be self employed business people and almost all of them became wealthy...but that didn't help much because Hitler and the Nazi's took it all!
Even now I'm against illegal aliens given a path to skip the line as they should go back and apply like we did! We made it here and I wish my grandpa would be able to know that what he didn't succeed, we did. He probably will be proud that we succeeded!
