NEW ORLEANS - The baby business has never been as busy or costly for Dr. Kevin Work.
"I'm really not making any money," he says.
His deliveries are up six-fold since Katrina, to about 65 a month.

And I bet that the descendants of the Canary Islanders (Islanos) are especially pissed due to their 'Hispanic' heritage.

Talk about a double slap in the face for, say Henry (Junior) Rodriguez of St Bernard Parish.

BK, those 15 dollar an hour jobs have dwindled down to under 10 dollar an hour as the numbers of illegals keep pouring in. Over supply of cheap help.

The illegal immigration virus certainly doesn't help New Orleans cause. Now you add strained healthcare to horrid schools, skyrocketing crime, a government who considers you irrevlant, and half the city hasn't even been bulldozed yet. My my my.

It does not matter to them whether or not they can afford it. They are not going to pay for anything anyhow- you are! If these two chiselers cannot afford to pay for the delivery they probably are not going to be able to pay for all the other expenses that go along with raising a child either. And they won't have to. The unfortunate US taxpayer will be left to pick up the tab.

In part, that's because residents aren't coming back.
A poll done by the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation showed that less than half of the Katrina evacuees living in Houston-area shelters plan to return
If the residents are not coming back, who should do the jobs then? Ghosts?
