I saw footage of this woman and some guy bouncing around on the ground. Whatever the reason, it struck me as phony right off the bat. I was trying to come up with why they would fake it, and using insanity as a defense is the only thing I could come up with. The woman said, in English, something like "I don't understand what you're telling me," which she could be taught phonetically, but even that sounded phony, like she could understand but was faking that, too. Just my gut reaction.
It's an easy way not to have to answer questions. We have Spanish translators, but that doesn't help with "crazy."
